Yeah, we bought at marine radio so we didn't have to worry about it getting wet and we never listen to it. But it's not a daily driver either.
Life is like a bowl of beer flavored chocolate covered dog turds.. it makes no sense. :pokinit:

Where is the Mammoth?

How the Mammoth came to be

It's kinda sad to think about it...  You think your not loud enough (always thought that in my van) and you get phone calls like this...  (true story, too stupid to make it up)  "This is the Jackson county sheriffs department calling on behaf of a brown van on records to be owned by you.  We have gotta many complaints that this van has damaged the sidings of a house earlier this afternoon.  We ask that you give us a call concerning this event."

That is the scariest message a "Broke" (financially) person can get...
Stock 82 LWB on 33's welded in the rear.  Amazes me!  Been through 4 motors in 2 months though...

I can show you what I had. Before I lifted my XJ I used to compete in USAC Outlaw SPL . My big system was 4ea. Memphis Mojo 15'
and 8ea. Memphis 1500D's totaling 12,000 watts,I placed 9th at the 03 USAC World Finals in 601 & up Modified hitting 167.4dB's. Then I dropped down two classes and ran a 16 volt setup.
Here is a Massive DMX18 I ran for a while.

Then the big system.

It's messy I know, this pic was during a testing phase.

Kept the subs but changed amps & ran a 16 volt setup.

I too know Fishman,I visited with him when I was at the World Finals, and this is the Bronco of Alma Gates(Queen of SPL).

What do you think is louder? The exhaust or the stereo?
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Pretty sure the stereo is,she was still in the build stage at that time. She was going to run 4ea. of the JBL Crown amps, which I believe put out 8000watts each.

Ah!  I remember back when louder was better!!

WHAT???

Did ya say something??

The best I had was a kenwood deck, (tape, pre cd) 4-12" M&M Godfathers, 4-6" M&M Godfathers, (lifetime warranty) 4-4" jensen with tweets, and two sherwood internal fan tri-power amps rated at 480 watts each.  Didn't last to long, the chrome was rattling off my el camino!  I miss the M&M's though!  They rocked!  Now, what I last ran before I took it all out to sell my truck.  Kenwood tape deck, one of the sherwood tri-powers, and a pair of converted mtx box speakers (replaced the 10 year old mtx speakers with rockford.)  I've gotten to the point that a 100 watt amp is more than sufficient for me!  Just enough to crank up your favorite song for you to listen to, and not the neighbor on the other side of the block!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

4THEWKN~9/17/2006  If it wasn't for you, I'd be driving something other than a Toyota!

Aiwa CD player that doesn't work (radio part does)
1 6" round in pass. side door
1 3" in driver's side dash

(took out pass. side dash, and swapped doors on drivers side, too lazy to cut a new hole and put the 6" round in the new door.

I got a panasonic deck dated 1995 with a burnt out display. I got some sweet 4" speakers in the stock location and a banging set of 6x9s behind the seats pumping out 35watts for above said panasonic deck.

Naw FATTshack you're thinking of her very first one,the Precision Power Bronco. After that one she had the red Kicker Bronco then this last one which started out to be all JBL CROWN amps.I'm not sure about the subs though.

But then I heard she is running another brand in it now,not real sure, but you can easily find out on a car audio forum.
The pic I posted I took myself at the 03 Spring Bash in Lawton,Ok. She was just getting this Bronco started when this pic
was taken. She did'nt have any subs in it yet.

2 ten inch pioneer subs and a MTX amp. All in a custom box. Right now they arent in a car, Itook them out of my bronco before I sold it. I cant decide wether to put them in my subaru or in my toyota when i get it. My subaru is a 2000 Legacy, I just dont want the crappy noise they make when they vibrate the trunk. Here is a pic of them when they were in my Bronco.

I have 2 15" RF p2s in the back on my ford contour svt with a 900 watt pioneer amp and they hit, except my box is way too small so some notes sound weird but I hit 139db on a cheap lightning audio db meter.

Dont they rattle the trunk and make it sound all crappy?

I have dynomated every thing and used 5 cans of ruberized undercoating, and put longer trunk stop rubbers in so the trunk itself cant move, plus some foam behind the liscense plate, and tail lights, and to be honest it does still rattle a litle, but it is worth is, my new propblem is my rear view mirrior keeps coming loose at the window, I have tryed all kindes of rear view mirrior adhesives, and no luck.

Yeah I had the same problem with my Bronco. MY subs vibrated everything to the point of falling off. Sounds like all the solid stuff kinda makes a difference so maybe I will try it.
