Then we got to lighting things on FIRE!

The roadtrip. They followed us so this is the only picture I have of them on the road.
Next - I have photographic proof... CT really is a poser.. :haha:
But Bluey is a very cool truck... so lets get to the real reason we're here!

You can tell by all the fill dirt on the Mammoth it was a little tight as well.

These started out as ATV trails and are almost big enough to get a regular truck through now.  :gap:

I had fun and looking back wonder how we made it over "Mammoth Drop" on all fours.  :disturbed:

The Mammoth drop is a story I will tell for YEARS  :yesnod: ! Words cannot describe the shear crazyness of the Mammoth dropping nose down for what I beleive to be a 35 to 40 foot straight down drop  :yikes: (NO TIRES WERE TOUCHING TEREFIRMA  :smack: ) , then hitting the front left tire causing the back half to go over the front...  :scared: Then some how it powered out of it and stuck the landing!   :woohoo:
all the judges gave it a perfect 10 across the board....
BRAVO! ENCORE!!!! :clap2:  :adoration:  ...LOL

Most of the pics I got of Bluey was through the windshield or on the move so they are not as good as I would want.

 It happened so fast I didn't even have time to pucker!!

All I know is I was strapped in my 5 pt. when I realized Mark was going to do what I hoped he wasn't going to be tempted to do. I had seen it from below, knew it was 'technically' doable. Knew if there was anyone that could do it 'technically' it was Mark, but I also knew I would WAY rather get it on film then experience it.
Mark had other idears.
Before I knew it we were going for the edge and he was not stopping to "let me out to get it on film" like I like to say. I cinched down on my five point. I remember thinking "I know Mark can do this". Feeling like it was really smooth and all of the sudden BAMM! the rear end comes down, we squirrel around some.

Next thing you know we're on the ground with some guy that looked like a referee with two hands in the air going IT'S GOOD!!! (or maybe that was a post traumatic stress hallucination)

There was a family that had gathered earlier to watch us putzing around and the first words out of their mouths was "OMG!! THAT WAS INSANE!" with huge grins.

In hindsight I was really glad to be part of it....this is the drop we went over... that 'dent' in the middle is where the drivers side tire folded under.

I know it doesn't give the full extent of it, it never does.

I would have rather walked it first, but didn't want to give Mrsw the chance to  :chicken: out. Most likely I would have :chicken: out myself if I had seen it from the top.

I remmember the left front wheel being stuffed all the way into the wheel well and seeing nothing but ground comming fast through the windshield. :yikes:

So that was Mammoth Drop.. next came the Bluey Wedgey. I wish I had gotten the Mammoth on vid going done this thing. It was probably just wide enough for a large ATV to be comfortable.
You saw the picture of the Mammoth on it above.
The video of Bluey doing what the Mammoth is doing in the picture is here...

http://www.mhdfl.com/Videos/BlueyWedgey.MPG (it's 18mb so you will want to right click and save target as)

but while you are waiting for that ... here are more pics for your viewing pleasure...

I remember nothing visually between saying "I'll get out to take pictures", thinking 'OH..!" (that was all I got out) and being at the bottom. I don't know that I closed my eyes, don't remember what I held on to. I don't tend to close my eyes but don't remember seeing anything! Just the feeling. :lmao2:

And I do remember the feeling of being SLAMMED into the ground! I felt that in my back.

But enough about us... on to the bluey wedgey... as CT said... he got STUCK.
Mark tried yanking, tried winching, and tried yanking some more from another direction. To no avail.
It was then we really realized how badly it was stuck. I was feeling bad we got them so stuck, but had no doubt we would get them unstuck. It's all part of the fun.

And so eventually "we" decided ... "we" had to dig ... (or at least "they" did, someone had to document this :acclaim: I don't know what CT was doing, maybe "supervising" :disturbed:  :aaa: )
SO here we had one tire off the rim, and we're still trying to get the truck to go back up (cause going down was yet tighter till it opened up).
I forget the exact timing of the events but at one time, as we're all working on digging out to go back up (or documenting said events) there was a sudden WHOOSH and a rain of dirt back down on us. The drivers side tire blew too. And while this was not a good thing the way in which it happened was quite humorous.

It was decided the only way to do was down. And not in a good way. Mark got the highlift off the mammoth to get Bluey as far away from the wall as possible.

As much as it looked like it would be soft the wall was full of roots and the dirt was well packed clay.

"We" had to dig the wall down side of Bluey out. "We" didn't have a shovel. I went to the Mammoth to find better things to dig the wall out with. I found the machette and then realized I had packed a hatchet in our gear box for MCR5. :acclaim:

And so "we" get to work digging out the wall

But you usually don't see so much sky!
