The word is out that checker is opening a new "super store" here in Moab.  :clap2: Those of you that work for checker, How do you like it? What is the enviroment like there? Not just at the store but as a corporation. Is there a good chance for advancement within the company? What do they pay their store managers and or assistant managers?
Thanks of any Info.
Dan

Dan I just got in to Kragens in Sac, they pay decent for store managers and assistant managers.  I am going to be a manager for their wholesale department.  It is going to pay less than what I made before but it is 2 blocks from home and they have promised me $1 an hour raise if I can prove myself to them in six months.  They have a bunch of insentives and stuff too.  They also give a pretty good discount on parts  :eyebrow: Good luck!

I worked for CSK.  They treat you pretty good.. benefits are there if you're there long enough and work enough.  Kinda sucks though it's next to impossible to get weekends off. :disturbed:

Weekends???? What are those? I already work in retail.... so the weekend thing is not a big deal. But when you say that they pay decent.... give me a figure. I know that there is probably some disparity between utah and Cali... but throw a number out there. Managers.... 50k? 40k? Less? what about assistants? Are they on salary? What kind of work week do they expect managers to work? 6 days? 5 days? Or just to work what is necessary.... whatever that might be.
Thanks
Dan

Dan I am working tues -sat 8a to 5p and then it alternates mon-friday 8a to 5p
but that is wholesale manager.  Less than 40k right now.  But I am going to try to work the system.  Go to classes take new jobs that come my way and manage a whole store one day.  Hope that helps Dan.

No kidding! The discounts are great.  I work for Alldata/Autozone right now and get 20% off, but CSK gives 25% :yesnod:

That might be worth the cut in pay to get 25% off all parts... including winchs n stuff. :yesnod:

As long as it's not a clearance or advertisement special.  Engines and trannys I believe is 10%... or it is in these parts anyway.
