Found this on a toyota diesel forum.  What he did is great, but I'm wondering how this would work if I were to bolt up the genset off one of our houseboat generators  :dunno:

Kinda overkill huh?  He coulda used a smaller engine, but for $50 he got a great deal.

No kiddin man!  I've been trying for a long time to find a deal like that, a running toyota diesel truck for $50?!  I don't give a flyin fork what the body/frame looks like, I'd come up with a good use for that.  Dunno how those engines like diesels, but a small diesel could only help.  Those trucks go for big $ on ebay, considering what they are.  I know where there's one for $3,000, but I don't have the cash and he won't consider trading for my 91 :down:

That would be a killer setup if you had a cabin in the boondocks though.  Just cart in as much bio as you can and never hafta worry about payin for power again!

That's too cool, I plan to use the engine out of the Mammoth to make a generator after doing the swap to a bigger engine. :gap:
