So who's done a snorkle on a 22R ?

I know its been done, I did one on mine a few years back but shirt canned it after awhile.

Whats your thoughts?  is it really worth it?

Post up your thoughts!  Anyone who's done it, was it worth it?  what little "tricks" did you do to keep the water out of not only the intake but everything else?   dist?  plugs?  ect ect...

I know ballons and silicon can be your friend when water proofing a engine   :D

I read a thread somewhere where a guy had done a homemade one and he could connect or disconnect as needed.  He only connects it when crossing deep water.  I will see if I can find it.

nah im not looking for help, like I posted.. i've already done one

Just curious as to how everyone's differed from the one I had made long ago. More curious on how everyone kept everything dry, not just the intake.. I know that was a challenge for me

I'll try and find some pictures and post up mine, just used 2 1/4" pcv pipe with some sleeves and pipe glue.. worked really well until I decided I didn't need it on 24/7

4crawler (Roger Brown) has some great info on his website as well. That's where I got most of my info from when I did mine.

This is the tech article I read.  I like the way he set his up. http://www.wildyoats.com/ then go to the tech section and look under homemade snorkel.
