Calling all smart Yota nuts
« on: Sep 01, 2006, 05:53:14 PM »
Ok, answer me this, got my "new" motor in today and fired it up.  But it had a miss, found that number 3 cylinder wasn't firinr. It had spark at the wire so I changed the plug thinking bad plug, didn't help. Checked the plur going to the injector and it was good, put it all back together and turned the injector just a little bit and now it's fine!!!! :dunno: I'm glad it's fine but why would it start working after I turned the injector?
I don't need a winch, I wheel a TOYOTA!!!!!!!

Maybe it is the wire behind the connector somewhere and when you turned it the wire moved to a position where it was connected again?
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Don't they have to be grounded properly to fire?

i would bet on an electrical issue, possibly corroded/dirty terminal on the injector/plug. spray some contact cleaner on both and also check your ground straps, you do have one right??
