Got a noise coming fromt he front of my tranny
« on: Aug 27, 2006, 07:46:45 PM »
which I believe is the input shaft bearring. At any speed over 25 mph you can hear it, espeacilly when I push in the clutch. I've replaced the throw bearring and it still does it, but can't seem to find a bearring at any parts store. Anyone know where I could get one before I go to the dealer? Oh, 85 5 speed trans.
I don't need a winch, I wheel a TOYOTA!!!!!!!

Never thought about a syncro.  I went ahead and threw my new motor in and said screw it. If it fails later I'll replace it later. I found out I have a g52 trans. Is the w56 a direct bolt in?

yea  its a bolt in but uses a topshift tcase where your g52 uses a forward shift
