1985 4Runner in So Cal...$2,000....*PICTURES*
« on: Aug 04, 2006, 04:51:28 PM »
Selling this for another buddie. It's a 1985 Toyota 4Runner with a new motor and radiator.Suspension is stock and has 33 inch BFG Muds,All-Pro Bumpers front and rear, fiberglass fenders and a soft top.Does not have the factory hard top and it has some rust on the body. It's a little on the ruff side as far as looks but it runs great.I'll get some pictures up when I can...$2,000.

I thought you AP guys had a line on every CanBack still in existence.  :eyebrow: Oh well.  :( There isn't much left of my old hard top now. I got a little happy with the high speed cutting wheel this weekend.

Okay, those are really crappy pictures. As I mentioned,it IS a bit on the rough side.It has some cancer on the body, but would make a perfect F-toy or an awesome crawler.Motor, clutch and radiator are all new.

4-Runner is still FOR SALE!
I went and looked at the vehicle, but did not buy it.  I did test drive it and inspect it thoroughly.  Just like they say, it does run well, it felt extremely reliable and I don't doubt that the newer motor would run for a long time to come.  The truck has 266,000 miles on the body, but the swapped motor only has about 70K on it.  Lots of new parts under the hood.  Transmission seemed to shift fine and I didn't hear any strange noises coming from any of the drivetrain.  Brakes are in good shape.
The vehicle would make a great trail beater and could be used to drive around daily as well.
I didn't buy it because it didn't suit my needs, I need something a little nicer so my wife will be more comfortable with her and my daughter riding in it.  For someone looking for something to wheel the hell out of this would be a good truck.  The frame looked 100% solid.  the 33" BFG Mud Terrains had alot of tread left, almost new I'd say.  Bumpers, glass fenders, and the top were all in excellent condition.  Put some sliders on it and it's ready to hit the moderate trails just as it sits.
To buy it contact Renee at (951) 750-0596.  The  vehicle is in Hemet.
Good luck with the sale,  it's a cool truck, just wasn't for me.
Chris
