Hello, is this a good idea to get the super longfield axel set, with 5,29 gears and 38 inch super swampers, my main concern is breaking a gear set, how strong are these 5.29 gears . im only running a 20r with a 4 speed tranny and stock transfer case.
Should i be worried!!

Also what is the total cost for dual transfer case setup, is it a costly mod or can it be done for cheap, is there alot of fabbing to do, is it worth it or is there something you can do for cheaper..
Basicly what i would like is so that i can keep my stock 4 low ratio but also have a super crawl ratio.

if your gonna run 38's you better get some longs. Unless of course you like changing birfs everytime you turn.

should i be worried about my gears..... i also forgot to mention that i will be installing an Aussie Locker in the front!!

as long as the gears are setup right it will be fine, buy a quality set though

I have 5.29's, 38's, 30 spline Longs, 4.7's in t-case and a front locker. The only thing I have broke is 2 hubs. Now I have the stock hubs back on and haven't had a problem. The motor and tranny a stock also. Done alot of wheeling in the last year after I put the longs in and love it. You should be good to go. O-ya, my gears are Yukon  :beerchug:

Whats up well i have the super set and 4.88s and 36 iroks, full detroit. havent had a prob. BUT the only thing i have heard of ever with the setup or yours or anybodies, is its not the gear set that breaks as one would think its the toyota stock hub fuzes in the hub that twist but doesnt break so that means that bobby wont give you a new set cause technically his stuff didnt BREAK you knw so then you have to buy a new birf, and a hub, so he sells hub fuzes that are all treated like the birfs, then when that is beefed up, its your hub studs that give out and i thnik front range or trail ready sells six stud hub instead of the stock to. this is all i know that screws up so hope this woeks for you peace jeff

but still i havent heard of this prob alot at all so i wouldnt worry is just a headas up. An yes a dual setup can be done cheap. Find a top shift transfer case and just buy the adapter from this site for 3hundered something and jsut hook it up then a shortened driveline and your set cause to stock t/cases are good. What you should do is buy the dual ultimate like i did its so dman sweet and slow is awesome but you dont wanna spend that much so thats sucks, hey you got to pay to play right hahaha :beerchug: :turtle:
