I dont have any pics off hand but can snap some of what ever you want, let me know.

I built it (actually Tim came down and helped so "we" built it) out of 1/2" 095 wall HREW tube. I used a condiut bender to bend it. I made 3 hoops front, middle, and back. I welded them to 6" piece's of angle iron for the mount to the bed with self tappers. I did 3 "spreaders" between the loops one center and one on both left and right sides. The tarp is just a canvas tarp from OSH, cut to fit. My wife sewed it up for me. I put a piece of 1x2" wood runners in the "pockets" to keep a equal loadon the tarp front to back. My latching system needs improvement so that will be addressed when I redo the tarp. I have had it for 3 years now (I think) and the tarp is leaking water now. I plan to get through the rest of this winter and possibly next before replacing it. I built it to keep the rain on the way to the trail off my gear, but mainly the snow once I am on the trail. It sucks to have your ice chest frozen shut in the morning from the snow.

Thanks, I cant wait to get the 40's mounted and rollin. As far as the build, it is done with the exception of maybe fender trimming to clear the 40's. I have considerd tearing it down and building a newer xtra cab with all my part's, but I cant afford the new truck and the few different parts I would need so it will wait.

Well I guess I lied in this statement, because I picked up an ARB for the front the other day and should have it in and done this weekend! :) I got an update on my wheels, they should be here mid week next week.

Here it is with the new shoes! Kind of dark but you get the idea. The ARB is in and good to go as soon as I get a new brass ferrul, since I lost it.

Whats the wheelbase on that hog? Curious how well the axles hold up with 40's.

If I remember right it is either 105" or 106" WB, I will have to double check. The axles should hold up fine, it's got 30 spline chromos in it.

I'm assuming that you are running 30 splines, let us know how the 40's do on your front end.

It's been a while since the last post. Anything new? Hey, do you have anymore pics of the tarp and frame that you made? I'm getting ready to mimic yours. I just would like to see any other pics. Maybe just the frame with out the tarp? If not, no problem. I'll just keep staring at the ones you have posted. My tarp will be tan/sand colored to match mine though. thanks, yours looks great!
