Okay i've got to give some credit to VETSCH because his housing is almost the exact same he just has a few more gussets, I got the knuckles all cleaned up and painted as well, and got the frame cleaned where the ifs ps box is going, just waiting on flip kits and hysteer to finish up everything, then its saving time again for some bobby longs.

Got some new bling today: Bumpstops, 1.5" wheel spacers for the rear, and two two gallon air tanks rated to 200 psi, only paid 70 bucks and that was for the wheel spacers.

Saw this sign and had to take a pic i thought it was funny as hell!

I think i bit off more than i can chew this time i just committed to run the WE-ROCK comp as a stock modified on memorial day weekend in Ellensburg, Washington  :yikes: So in just a little under 8 weeks i have to:
- Finish my truck
- Buy bobby longs or put in an aussie and take out the welded front
- build a 6pt cage
- fix the oil leak
- find a spotter
- Tell my best friend that i cant go to the funny rocks with him like i promised!

Yup i really screwed the pooch on this one!  :talkingn: Hopefully i can put my money where my mouth is and do well, or ill roll, and break everything i built, oh well its gonna be kick ass! :woohoo: Do you all think i should back out and finish my truck before i do this or should i just get it done and go? The only real problem im going to have is getting the cage to requirements of WEROCK, I wont have any runs on my truck before the event either so it'll bring it and hope i got everything right the first time.

On a constructive note i decided tonight to rebuild my exo cage i finally figured out how i can fix it and make it work. If you all recall i attempted to build an exo cage about six months ago but screwed it up. Tomorrow im going to cut it up a little bit to make it work to how i want it with some slight modifications. Its going to interesting here real soon. I've got a suprise.  :psss:

Yotaboy just find a set of 35's like me and run em for the comp....

So, what happened to you needing to focus more on school?
I have been i can only work on the truck if all my home work is done, every week i have to bring home a report card telling my parents what my grades are, if they aren't up to par then the shop get closed until they are, right now i haven't been working on the truck because im waiting on parts so i have been catching up on school work and trying to get ahead so when the work resumes ill be prepared to cope with school and working on my rig.

no the front end isn't even under the truck yet, it'll sit about six inches higher in the front than in the pics i just put the tire there to give you the idea.

Got the tires put on the rear today as well as the 1.5 in wheel spacers, im thinking about cutting the flare out of the front fender in order to get a little more clearence, I was also wondering if a 2" wheel spacer in the front would be a bad idea, i know its hard on the bearing but if i check them and replace them when need it shouldn't be to bad. compared to how the truck was before this thing is a GIANT! Its gonna be pretty wide too, about 3/4 of the tire sticks outside of the bed sides. Ill post pics later.

Yeah ill get some pics tomorrow of the rings the first one we cut was 15" but where you weld them to the rim is actually 16" so we have to a little adjusting, they look sweet, the d-shafts are amazingly simple is just take the time to get stuff lined up. Check minisimps build up thats how i built mine, he has a step by step on how to do it.

  just read through the build, truck is looking pretty good :yesnod:

Very cool.   Now that I really look at one it seems fairly simple, that true?

Wermz, I also imitated Minisimp's design for the square tube driveshaft.  When you get around to it, after you cut the ends, square them off real well, and you'll have a fairly balanced driveshaft. I thought mine was good up to about 30mph or so, I wound up driving over the pass about a month ago in the snow, after I came off the hill, before I unlocked the hubs I wound up doing about 60 in 4hi, with no vibration! :woohoo:  as long as Iwas giving it a little gas, it was great.  Only time it vibrated was when I was just coasting, then the slop kicked in

:usa: Its better to die on your feet than live on your knees :usa:

I had a big disaster today, i was trying to jack the truck up to get the suspension to go to full droop to make sure my d-shaft was going to be okay and the truck rolled backwards, and me being stupid didn't have any jackstands under the frame, any ways i was using a hilift jack because it was the only thing i had tall enough and the truck rolled out from under the jack and fell straight down onto the cement right on the front housing, luckly the diff hit before the knuckle did so it didn't do any damage after further ispection, but i learned a good lesson today don't use a hi lift without blocking the tires. All turned out thank god but it really scared me to think that my front housing which i spent nearly 20 hours building could have been ruined in the blink of an eye.
