What to rat out of an '83

My brother in law has an '83 4x4 Hilux rusting away in a paddock on his farm. Is there anything on this vintage truck that is worth taking?

And when I say rusting, I mean REALLY rusting.

I already got a solid axle, but I guess it's not a bad idea to have parts knocking around. Is the diff gearing any different to my '84 Hilux? It has 2.2 litre diesel I have a 2.4 litre diesel, coz I'm thinking of dropping my diff gearing down some.

it probably is different, there were many gearsets avaialbe.....

you would need to either count teeth, or find info regarding the axle, you cant tell by just guessing

You wouldn't want to buy it it is RUSTY. The chassis is rusted through in one place. It's been really trashed.
