Man all the babies running around here  i figure hey why not get Mom busy, she's  been a bit down  the last couple months  and a few weeks ago  one of her friends asked her to make a quilt for one of her friends that was expecting  and for her time and expenses paid her $25
now mom has been doing this for several years but  since we lost Dad  she needs something to do  and God knows we can use the extra money.

i showed Diane a few pics a week or so ago  and she just loved the "little piggies"  Mom had already made.    Matt in Kansas has her currently making a twin size "FindingNemo" for his little girl  and a baby size "puppies"  for her to just drag around and cuddle with

now if i could get Diane to post some of the pics i emailed her

just tell us baby, twin, full  boy or girl    and what theme if you have something specific  in mind

They are simply adorable!
Here are a couple pictures Glen sent me. The first one, the little piggies, I took at my house.
I'm going to give it to a co-worker for her baby shower.

I love the color of the froggies and duckies one.

Setup an account on ebay and list them on there.

A square yard is 9 square feet...3 feet square. 72 x 72 is 36 sq ft or 4 sq yrds. Most fabric is sold by the running yard and is usually about 52 inches wide.

depends on the material

usually its somethin like $25  per yard made,  depending on what the material costs are

but biggerblankets require more work obviously

I can get baby blankets at wal-mart TOO. That's not the point.. I can't get a Marlin  :turtle3: blanket at walmart.

Maybe make it out of corduroy and denim with a big turtle sewn on the back.

MAybe it could turn into a real cottage industry, with mom running a little shop hiring a couple people to help sew them, and selling them right on the Marlin website.  Think about it CUSTOM   :turtle3:  Blankets from Marlin himself.
