I just developed an Excel spreadsheet that will tell you how much money are you saving by driving a longer distance to get gas at a lower price.  It takes into account the following items: Fuel Capacity, Vehicle Economy, Fuel Price & Fuel Cost Per Mile.  It charts the savings for fuel prices up to $.15 cheaper and a drive of up to 5 miles roundtrip.  You just enter three figures to find out how far you are willing to drive to save.

Is there any way to post a useable excel file on the board? 

I could probably email it if requested.

I don't go out of my way for cheaper gas. Actually don't have to, I have cheap stations between the house and work.

So is it .xl, .xls, .xlt, .xla, .xlm, .xlc ?

I would assume .xls which is the standard excel file.

Im sure its good info and stuff  lets people finger out the mile/gas and stuff.
