Can portals be made to have a 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern?

I guess, anything is possible if you are really determined.

Haven't seen anything on it though.

My problem is I just bought new wheels very expensive wheels.  So I now have to build my rig around my TR beadlocks and 41" Iroks.  The Toy axles I just built are too narrow due to the different offset of the new wheels.   I need wider, stronger 6 lug rears.  Any ideas?   Thanks   Jim

6 lug dynatrac. Theres also a huge difference if you run SRW wheel hubs or Duallys. duallys are an extra 6" wider on each side. Being that stable is awesome but you also have a bigger chance getting caught up on that pumpkin. Personally id would do a hybrid. Run 9" diamond center section mated to the 404 mog outters. ill try and find the link off pirate.

Edit: heres some info on the outters.

heres the thread where i found it.

I talked to Portal Tec and they said thier portal axles are stronger than a Dana 80.  I read in that thread on Pirate that the Volvo portal ends were supposed to max out on a 37 and a mild 6 banger.   I sure dont want to spend alot of coin on an axle set up that will give me problems.  I know nothing is unbreakable, however if I am going to do it I want to do it right the first time.   I have heard Currie's 9" with D60 outters is junk and so id thier rock jock 60?   So is Dynatrac and Portal tec all thats left for a beefy rear with 6 on 5.5" BP?

In Disney Oklahoma a man named Russ Hogan runs two front portals on 49's and i have never seen him break. I would definitely go with some portals.

I have seen Hogan break.  Now, granted, he doesnt break MUCH at all for how hard he wheels the 49" IROKS on Unimog 404's but then again he is running a Mazda rotary motor with Samurai tranny and tcase.  Also, keep in mind his rigs tube chassis' only weigh maybe 600 lbs.
85 Runner, 5" All-Pro Extreme Lift, Complete Marlin T-Case with new TS 4.7 gears, Super Birfields(Longfields), 5:29's, Detroited front, Spooled rear, 36" TSL's, Bikini top.

Yes, Livin in Kansas sucks azz!!

I have seen you out at his park before. I think it might have been last summer. I like your runner.
