Another 2nd gen axle swap started....

I have been wheeling on my IFS for about 4 years now, and it is falling apart......the time has come :thumbs:

The problem..


The solution..


The start..






I am rebuilding, regearing, and locking the axle next...then the cutting will begin.

it might just be me but wouldn't it have been better to wait untill you can mount the springs to see if your front hanger and shackle tubes are in line before welding them?

if he measured properly,  NO   and the marlin front hanger  is  a crossmember also  so it kinda  lines itself up for ya

I used the jigs and tubes supplied by Marlin, and I got things pretty straight. Next I will rebuild the axle, then I will start cutting.

Got a lot done this weekend...still have to finish grinding, get brakes and steering hooked up, relocate trans cooler, torque bolts, etc...I also need to add some leaves to my junkyard rears-they are poopy..

I really am pleased with the results, and I did it for about $1700.00

Finished it up....front and rear drivelines, secured brake lines...almost ready to wheel....its just too hot here.

Had a couple loose ends I had to tie up...

Pitman arm that came with my hysteer was hitting the steering arm on compression...no more



Tied up the brake lines..

i had to do the same thing with my pitman arm..i just got a sky-manufacturing 3/4 less drop,problem solved.you might want to plate your power steering box.nice runner BTW..cheers. :beerchug:

I am getting ready to SAS my 95 runner. Want to know how much lift you went with in the front? Also wanted to know what you did in the rear of your runner for lift? I see it is still coiled, but what kind of coils did you use?
