The other day when i was heading home my engine started gushing oil out of the top of the block. It looks like it were somewhere around the intake and the head. It didn't seem to loose power or anything. I haven't had time to look at it due to work so any help will be much appreciated.

intake and head, are you thinking the valve cover gasket? if gushing, decribe what you are talking about a drop or 2 or a qt of oil on the ground?

its not as high up as the valve cover it is right behind the intake around the bottom of the head im pretty sure. like i said i have not had much time to look but that was the area i noticed. the oil dumping quarts out just at an idle.

if its gushing that bad it might have blown completely out.

The valve cover could have come loose, not that uncommon, tighten them and see.

egr  bolt nearest the intake  probably came out,  if so  oil will run out that hole befor going back to the pan

Thanks for your input. It turns out that all it was is the rubber seal on the oil filter that had a 2 inch crack in it. Thanks for your help.
