you can do what some people do and just remove the plug altogether and drain it by taking out the bottom bolts of the third.....

threadlocker might also help...... check tightness, every so often as well

Steal a trick from motorcycle racers and safety wire it!  It's a pita to drill the small holes, but if you use good quality wire it'll help a lot.  You could even have two safety wires on opposing sides.  Just a thought.

stop hitting the rocks.   :cheese:

you've obviously never actually wheeled before.  My drain plug is so smashed and packed with crap that I don't think it is gonna come off.  You could also just throw a spot weld on there and grind it off when you want to drain it but i think shaving is the best thing to do for other reasons too

I replaced the two bottom studs with bolts and drain it through there like previously said.  No worries anymore.

I'm betting that was a joke BBW :headshake:

same as everyone else, shave it off, and drain through the diff.  Do like HYENA did.  I would, except my studs come out instead of the nuts coming off, so I just do it that way.
