22RE Redline
« on: Apr 04, 2006, 07:46:51 AM »
I have been looking all over and am not having any luck find out what the redline is on a stock 22RE (out of a 94' 2WD Pickup if it matters).

not sure what the redline is, but after about 4500, there isn't much power left anyway, so it's time to shift.  I'd guess the official redline is something like 5700 or so on the factory gauge...

on a factory tach, or in the owners manual, 5500.  I've been to 6500+ on a fresh engine with no damage.

With a pretty simple hybrid setup mine pulls to around 6200 rpm or so.
