Topic: high out-put alternator

ive looked for a high out-put alt for my 84 toy p/u but i havent been able to find 1. im looking for sumthing over 100+ amps. ive been told that my 84 has a different alt wiring then the other years and this is why i cant find 1. i mean ive found  high out-put alts but they havent had the same wiring as mine...so if u know of where i can get 1 please let me know

Hey toymob'g,

I bought an alt from NWOR for $300+ that was rated at 130 amp's. The pig tail will work on the back of the alt, but you will need to change the drivers side motor mount to a newer style off 86+ year and run an 8 guage or better charging wire to the battery. I have all the parts and the new alt if you want to make a deal!? I never installed the 130 amp alt as I never installed the winch or stereo system. Sorry to jack your thread...
