Hopefully this question isn't too stupid

I just purchased a pretty rough looking 89 4Runner for $100.00

Now the guy tells me the starter is bad and that's it for the motor and the rear passanger side brakes are locked up from rust and sitting for 3 yrs. It has quiet a bit of body cancer ( Rust ) so I think if anything i'll tube it out and make a nice rock rig out of it ( has full frame if I'm not mistaken ). Or.....should I yank out the V6 and wiring and put it into my 85 Pickup?

If so....Will the R151F tranny bolt up the 89 V6 or is there an adapter?

Is the v6 going to give me a huge increase in power -vs- my semi-tired 4banger.

NOT sure what to do....thoughts, comments...anyone?

The turbo R151F trans is a direct bolt up to the 3.0 V6 powerplant.
All you need is a 3.0 bellhousing from a R150 or R150F trans.

V6s do have more power but not as good mileage.

LOL I ended up leaving that 4Runner in NH where it belonged, so the guy made $100.00 off me for nothing...oh well. I have my truck back in commission and next is the 86 4Runner I now have. Oh yeah Rob...I passed emissions today *my truck*!!
