stupid question about ubolts for sa
« on: Sep 30, 2014, 01:03:17 PM »
Stupid question but what ubolts do I need for my 83 front solid axle. I am running a flip kit and have 3 round ubolts but the passenger side needs a longer bolt. I think its a square bolt but not sure. Marlin has been out of stock, and ideas where I can get a bolt?  :smack:
thanks

I gave up on using 9/16'' u bolts on toyota's. I now get the 5/8'' ones from davez or ruff stuff

Just from personal experience, I would get all round ubolts regardless of which axle you have.  Mines an 85, so technically 2 square, 2 round.  But I've already broke 3 squares from hitting the corner of the ubolts in rocks.  And they are high quality 9/16 ubolts.  The round ones don't break near as easy and can take hits better without breaking.  Just my .02.
