The pop up on the main page
« on: Mar 05, 2006, 01:22:34 AM »
Bleh!  I hate pop ups!  Is it going to be a permanent addition to the main marlin page?  I've stopped going to some websites because of them.

Are you talking about the sticker thing? Hell, it's an ad for Marlin's own site. I even goes away on its own.

Yeah, the one for the 27" sticker.  The only good thing is that it doesn't stay for too long, but it's still annoying...

I'm just ranting...

Hmmm they wouldn't work for me in Firefox, and there was one other guy complaining about firefox not working. The site has gone downhill since the redesign. A lot of the thumbnail pictures are dead links, 404 not found.

I guess if I refreshed the Marlin front page every 10 seconds, it would bug me too, but I don't, so I'll take a 27" sticker also.

Interesting, haven't really had any problems with their main page running firefox.  You know you can turn off your popups option, right?!  I don't know a lot about how to set it up, but if you click on tools and start playing around you can customize it.

Ok, just saw it for the first time.  It's not a popup, atleast not in the sense of normal popups (being a small window).  It was there for like 5 seconds and then went back into the corner.

you can also use the google toolbar and run their popup blocker, I rarely get popups. IE is also running a popup blocker as well.
