I took my 1984 Toyota 4Runner to Hollister today, messed around a bit, maybe a bit too much . . . and sustained some damage.

This obstacle course is called Frame Twister, these stumps can get frustrating at times, my wheelbase just so happened to be the perfect length to get wedged pretty well a couple times.

This is Squeeze Rock, I figured I'd do it.  Why not?

Now we see why it's called Squeeze Rock.

Eek, first major rock rash...

After fooling around in the obstacle courses for a while, I hit the trails.  Everything was peachy, couple hill climbs here and there, articulated in some ruts, then...

Yes, I flopped it. :(

Good thing there was a fellow in a Jeep following me at the time and he lent a helping hand with his winch.

Here are a couple pictures of her on her side.

After we got it back on all 4, it was time to check out the damage.  For the most part, I lucked out.  There are some dings on the rear fender, a dent behind the door handle, and my front fender was a little mashed in.  The paint is still mostly alright, but it cracked when the front fender was bent in, and it will begin to chip if I don't do something about it.

Hey it's just bent metal, right?  :yesnod:
I would Take my truck offroad but then it would get dirty

Rocks don't like purty paint I guess.

They don't like spray paint either :headshake: but at least its cheaper

Jeff (NUb) is my older brother.  That's my 4Runner in the pictures.  If you want to see his truck go back to the Rig Gallery and sort the threads by creator.  You'll find his picture threads.
