noob to board and to cda idaho
« on: Jan 18, 2006, 12:18:43 PM »
to the left is a small picture of my first build.  i found a nicer 82 toyota and sold my 83 minus the motor and trans for 900.  My current toyota is an 82 with 35" MTRs.  I have a new hanger and marlin 3" springs in front and a 2" block and shackle for the rear for now.  I just moved to CDA Idaho from Battle Ground Wa.  I've been trying to find other yotas around but have only seen a few.  pm me or post if your in or around cda, id

I'm talking about all the pretty colors, those had to come from several different years.

i couldnt tell you.  i just slowly found everything.  the worst part was that the truck was really straight and one color when i got it.  one of y wheeling trips i made the rookie mistake of backing up in some ruts with my door open so i could see.  the mud grabbed it and ripped it forward into the fender.

Mine is still all original, or at least the body is. I keep resisting the temptation to trim even the front of the fenders, front vanlance and the rear bed skirt for clearance since they always seem to be what I hit on the rocks. The rear is the worst since it hangs out so far, still not quite bad enough to want to cut yet...... maybe next week.

the very first day i had my 83 home, i put my 35's on it with no lift.  i cut off the front of the fender and beat the floor in with a sledge on both sides. the only time they rubbed is when i was flexin which wasnt much but they still barely rubbed. i need to figure out how to downsize pics and i will post it stock with 35's

Email the picture to yourself that usually will resize and lower the pixels enough to post here or if you have a photo editor resize it to about 600 save it as a JPEG, but just before you save it open the options button and change the quality to about 75%.
