:gap: if anyones interested, i was driving down out of michigan and seen this place called dicks auto, they had a whole yard of pick-up beds. so i thought i would stop and look. i wanted a new long bed for my 86'. they didn't have one. but they did have a new short bed. when i went in and asked them about it  they said they built it right there and that was the last one thet were goung to build. i must say they did a nice job it semed to be made a lot stouter than the original. it is a really nice bed. i think the name of the town is white pidgeon michigan. if anyones interested i can get the number.

That's pretty interesting, must be an eastern thing!  We don't get near as bad of bed rot here as the easterners.  I'm sure a lot of people might be interested in beds.

Is it a steel or a fiberglass bed?  Fleetside or import version?    How much was it? did you get a number?

I used to have a link for a place that makes replacement fiberglass beds for toys, and you could order it in any length you wanted, bobbed, lenthened, whatever.
