Is the t-case and tranny on a 90-91 4runner v-6, the same as an 86 4cylinder, t-case and tranny?

in a word no

if the 86 is a turbo then very close, a v6 had the R150
4 cyl turbo's had R151 which is the single best toy tranny you can get

if the 86 was efi non turbo it had the w56
