MC07 install
« on: Dec 10, 2005, 07:59:15 PM »
82 p-up, l52hd, two top shift cases.  I don't have the official Marlin instructions yet, I just downloaded the instructions given on the website.  I went ahead and took apart the donor case and I have a couple of questions.

A)  Is it necessary to install the 2wd/4wd shift rod in the crawl box?  Why?

B)  What parts do I specifically need from the donor case?  I know that I need the reduction housing and the 2.27 gear, but what other parts?

Thanks, just trying to get organized so that the assembly and install will be easy this week.

A-  im pretty sure,  NO

B- you have to remove the output shaft to get the reduction housing off,  after that, whats in the box  is what goes, shift fork for the lo/hi etc
