timing?

Hey guys. what should i set my timing for. lc distributor and motor...
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

5* BTDC should be a good baseline.

hmmm lc motor... probably a 22re? if thats the case, im thinking more like 12-15* timing with jumpered test connector points

naw... 22r. for sum reason i'm keeping it as stock as possible under the hood. ext for a header and dist.

oh ok... a 22r is supposed to be at 0* with the vacuum advance plugged

unless you need to pass emissions, set it to the baseline, and advance it a little at a time until it starts to ping when you really load up the engine(the older trucks with the micro-adjustable advance said to get it going about 20mph, put it into 4th and floor it), then back it off a bit.

yeah no. my lc re motor prefers 8-9. have more power there than i ever did at 15
