Toyota axle 79-85 or Diamond Axle housing and build with parts if you have the money.
As for lift height, that is more tricky, how much lift do you want?
Marlin sells springs from 3" to 5"

Might look then at a T100 rear and a HP Dana44 front.  They're within a couple inches of one another.

Tacoma has opposite side trans case drop so toy axle will not work.  Best is to get drivers side drop dana 44 out of late 70 to early 80's fullsize jeep.
This is the axle you want...out of 82 wagoneer

Has anybody here done business with Dynatrack?   I was considering going the extra mile and getting Dynatrack pro 44's for the front and rear at the same time with ARB air lockers Front and rear + onboard air, all at the same time

Never personally, but they are an exceptionally well respected company.  They have done axles for comp teams, all the rags, and some bad arse trucks on pirate.  The axles are money, but I don't think you can go wrong with Dynatrac.

beyond this, one thing that has gotten me (i just cant decide) is whether to just put leafs up front, and have leafs in the rear,   or do a 4 link setup front and rear

It depends on how much money you have to spend and how long you can have your truck down. I have no problems useing leaf springs infact I'd rather have leaf springs that coil springs. Coil overs are nice but still I perfure leaf springs, I like the fact that my front tires drop forwards insted of back tords me. If anything I would say keep with leaf springs up front and if you want put coil overs in the rear, that would be a kiler setup.  :twocents:

I'm running a Dana 60 and 14 bolt. You could run a Dana 44 as long as you us chomally axle shafts you can run 39.5x15x15 tires thats what one of my buds run. You could go find a ford front Dana 60 just make sure its a 60 and not a 50, its will say on the diff cover. You could even run the ford rear axle thats with the front, one of my friends did that.
