My truck has no name...
« on: Dec 01, 2005, 11:22:03 PM »
She's like a cat named cat, it is very sad.  I have thus decided to find her a name.  Anybody named their truck?

I'mthinkinh maybe Alastriona.  Female name, means Defender of Mankind.  My truck is important after all.  Hmm, George W. will think I am naming it after him!  :disturbed:

Hmmm :headscratch: not too shabby.  I dunno if it really fits though.  You gotta find something somewhat descriptive.

I'd tell you what I call my truck, especially lately, but It wouldn't ever get past the censors.

My CB/truck name is officially Blackdiamond, but I affectionately refer to it as the Baby Toy since it gets royal treatment and I also have a Tundra.

Well I didn't name it but my friends call my Jeep, "Postal" because with the hard top on a Flat-fender looks like a postal. Or maybe it's because everytime I take it out I threaten to shoot it.

Used to have a 72 chevy blazer named "Hoss", cause it had a mind of it's own, but would always get me home. I then had a 72 Landcruiser my wife named "Rhino", cause it was grey and would go anywhere. (think I have something for 1972?) Now I've got my red 85 4-Runner, and havn't officially named it anything but "the truck". My wife calls it my little red wagon, but not sure I want to label it with that...Maybe "Radioflyer"? I dunno

Mine has been christened Black Betty, after the Spiderbait song (originally done by Ram Jam) of the same name:

Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Black betty had a child (bam-ba-lam)
The damn thing gone wild (bam-ba-lam)
She said, "i'm worryin' outta mind" (bam-ba-lam)
The damn thing gone blind (bam-ba-lam)
I said oh, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)

Oh, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
She really gets me high (bam-ba-lam)
You know that's no lie (bam-ba-lam)
She's so rock steady (bam-ba-lam)
And she's always ready (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)

Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
She's from birmingham (bam-ba-lam)
Way down in alabam' (bam-ba-lam)
Well, she's shakin' that thing (bam-ba-lam)
Boy, she makes me sing (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty bam-ba-lam

My truck is known as "The Beast", which was a name that was actually started by my best friend from my calculus classes, as he would refer to his TI-92 (a ginormous calculator) as The Beast.

Then when ever I would go to Bevin's house to work on his 3RZ Conversion, I would always ask him if I should bring The Beast.
In highschool, my girlfriend called my MR2 the "Dream Boat" I was so pissed off at that :gay: name I HATED IT. My MR2 ran 13s in the 1/4mile with a 1.6l engine. It was a monster, not a dang dream boat geez.

I would always refer to my MR2 as a girl, but I don't know what my Hilux is. I sometimes think it's a girl, but other times I think it's a boy... :dunno:
