hey do FJ62 do those have high pinon??? my buddys got some in az and i want to know if thay would be worth runin on my 82 pick up how Strong are thay? how much wider?? anyone?? thanks Doug

low pinion front and rear. 
unfortunaltely, i believe they are the same strength in the rear. i know the birfields are the same strength. the only big differences are the d-shaft flanges and third member sizes.  the front axle is also gussetted on all 62's.  i cant remember the width.  can measure it if no one knows.

i am interested in the birfilelds, shafts, and ring and pinion if you would like to sell them.

would take some fab work...

'82 mini = 55"
FJ62 = 58"

these measurements are approx. but close enough for comparison sake...
'82 pickup, +3, locked, doubled
'82 pickup, IFS long travel, V8
'85 4runner, V8 rock crawler
'88 X-cab, V6

Off set rear diff too.

last one i looked at had a bigger diameter tube than the mini 

more like a dana 60
