I just welded some angle Iron on with two holes in in and I just bolt the mud flaps on there by hand whenever I get a tickit. very simple and easy

Hyena

Here are mine.  Welded a piece of square tube to the frame with a hole drilled through it.  The mudflaps are bolts to another piece of tube that fits inside the first piece.  Drilled a hole through the smaller pice too.  Insert the smaller piece into the bigger piece.  Put pin through and it is done.

Ramrod

you gotta do everything better than me don't you brad.

Well if you wanna have a pissing match mine are even more bling than that.  The tube on the frame is 1" square tube and the mudflap is bolted to 3/4".  I used a captured tractor pin so I dont have any hair pin to lose. :gap:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Ya, that why i am Bad Ass Brad!

White Trash, my mud flaps are bolted to 1 inch square, the mount on the frame is actually 2 pieces of angle iron welded together.  It's all i had so i made use of it.  And the frame welded one is 1/4 inch thick for strength.  :)   I can't have the mount ripping off the frame when i am on my side in Little Sluice.  O, wait, you guys wouldn't know about that.   :booya:

Way to go Steve... Hyena's detachable idea is exactly waht I was talkin about  So when we gonna build it? :eyebrow:

Unless the Law says otherwise.  I found out the hard way but got off easy.  I just got a warning.

IronClad

mudflap laws are lame..   i got a mudflap ticket with my mudflaps on..   and i got the big flaps too   reguardless if you are really "legal" or not they can and will get you..   its to their discression (sp?) if they dont think you are legal they will ticket you.. take it from me.. i have had well over 2 grand in tickets for my truck  (one was around 1200 bucks)  btw i got a ticket with those big ugly flaps on there  because i didnt have enough tire coverage  :shake:

Save yourself the $ and time, just go to your local heavy duty retailer and get some of these from here:

http://virgofleet.com/search_result.asp?CATEGORY=Mud+Flaps+and+Accessories&MANUFACTURER=Mud+Flap+Hangers&Level2Category=Mud+Flap+Hangers

You can mount them right where they belong, cover the whole tire so they are legal and they come right off for wheelin

If you can't fabricate stuff then i guess that would be the best way to go.  $33.  Mine cost me about $3 at the hardware store for the pins.  I got the metal and the flap material for free.  and i stole the bolts from my auto shop.

True, but I have no welder and no skills there. I do have a good drill though. It would cost someone like me a bucket of $ for shop time.

Ya, i guess i was lucky to live near a metal's shop that let me scavenge through there scrap pile for free.

Steve I'm sure I can come up with something that'll work.  I mean, I got a whole lumber rack full of crap metal we can go through.  Look me up on Thurs afternoon and you can come take a look

It's like a home depot.  I thought they were all over the place but I guess not.  There are tree within an hour of me. Just a big hardware store

Hyena

Never heard of them either.  there is an ACE hardware next to were i use to live.  they carried square tubing in like 3 or 4 foot lengths.  try hardware stores.

yotaboy79

all i have to do is go to work to get steel :gap: ive also seen people use round tube instead of square tube 1x.120 will fit into 1 1/4x.095 wall :gap:
