Patience is a virture.  Whatever the hell that means my mom just used to tell me that when I was impatient.  Just wait on it.  your truck doesn't have to be totally done till like memorial day really

RHG

Hey Shamb if I havnt got a co-pilot then you can ride with me. Of course if you dont mind riding in a IFS rig. You can use me as a last resort

Ok, here's the new word. Shamb, Rudy and I were busy getting :boozer: yesterday. Shamb said he wanted my old rear axle from the '85. I said the only way he was getting it was a trade for his terra-flex's and he had to drive his rig on this trip if he doesn't sell it before then. So. All 3 of us are gonna be there and  :driving:

Shamb

He speaks the truth, i'm in as long as I get my front end clearance issues fixed. Rear output shaft leak fixed.. and I gotta take a peak at the front third.. make sure the locker and R&P are still intact and fully functional.

By the looks of that pic I think I am glad I am not going.  I would rather do my usual for this time of the year and spend the weekend laying on my back in a salty swamp

Yeah so you need to tell me when you want to go to colusa. Im game... I need to spend all my money into duals first then the stamps then we'll go hunting, so let me know when.

For the people that went on the con in the snow like that, how much harder was it?
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

RHG

How the hell do you even find the trail and see the rocks to be able to pick a line? I really want to go but damn that looks like hell to get around in.

we got 3 feet of snow when it was all said and done.
took almost all day to get out, and we were only at ellis creek.
took a couple hours of walking, then driving down the granite bowl, lots of deep drifts to work around.
we couldnt drive up the other side of the bowl.
so we had to take the lower route out and even then it was quite a bit of work.
was a great trip though.

Ramrod

I think in that I would be glad I had my front diff guard and would pick my lines with my right foot

RHG

Well I am going to continue on with my duals project and if everything works out then I am going to go, but if the weather desides to :pokinit: on the 'con right before the trip or if it looks like its going to be bad that weekend then I am not even going to bother. I got my fingers :crossed: though cause I really want to go.

the snow makes it a great trip.
i love snow wheeling up there.
as long as you are prepared its great.
that reminds me, i need to put my full doors on and load my winter wheeling box.

Hyena

I took a day trip up to the con after it snowed.  Went int othe bowl and was going up the other side.  One of the toehr trucks with us broke his front driveline (Toy on 40's) and we had to turn around.  Then his battery died.  We had trouble going up the other side coming back out.  We decided we couldn't crawl out so we used momentum and finally me and another truck got out.  We had to leave the other toy there they came back the next day for it.  It can be hard in the snow.

Like I said before, the weather on that weekend is usually the worst possible. Last year was a blessing as it actually snowed.

Derek, just a kind of FYI, that lower route is a real nono now. So, get up that darn bowl!!! We need to find a good route up that side and I am not sure if it can be found.
