I think its pretty well known that despite being from Oregon wheres theres lots of the gooey stuff, I hate it! I've played the mud game, broken lots of stuff and its no fun rolling around under your rig with the soup running down the back of your shirt and britches. I'll make the drive to Cal or Nevada to wheel when I can or when its dry around here. As the wise OOP'S once said  "thats boony bouncin". Rocks for me.  :heavy:

But I am looking forward to airing my 38's down to around 5lbs and hitting the snow this winter

I like the rocks but the mud is some fun stuff too. I refuse to take my toy through the mud but if I had another truck that was a old beater then I'd be a mud wallower. I cant wait to go on a snow run. Lilbuddy has got me all excited about that.

well there ain't alot of rocks around here and what rocks are here are usually muddy.Makes for some fun times. But my heart will always belong in the mud. There ain't nothing like dropping off into a big mud pit, hold it wide open and hope you make the other side. It's even better with the doors off.You know mud makes a good earwax remover  :qtip: .

In my opinion, rock crawling is more about skill while mud involves more luck.  Due to the traction on rock it is often possible to crawl some amazing things and a driver's error can result in a roll over, while the lack of traction in mud creates the opportunity to almost climb hills (fun on the way up) and then slide our of control back down bouncing off everything along the trail.  I like the technical aspect of picking a line where a couple of inches can make a huge difference rather than putting the hammer down and crossing my fingers.  Don't get me wrong, I know that it takes skill to drive in the mud, but once the skill and luck end, so does the control.

Snow can be fun, similar to mud without the mess.

I'd have to say both :dunno: I have a blast either way.  Honestly I've had more experience in the mud than on the rocks, and both are awsome.  HOWEVER, rocks are cleaner and don't mess up my motor as much, but I'm less apt to break in mud.  So I'd say 50/50 fer me

:eyebrow:

Then again, the occasional ramp wheelin'll do fer some poser shots :hahaha:

You forgot another option to vote on!    All of the above!
Where I live I have the option of Rocks (tillamook state forest, buddy's family rock pit), mud all around me, sand (sandlake and all other beach access), and snow when it snows!  There's nothing like a good muddy rutted road!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!
