new to this post..I have a 86 pickup, that currently has the front end hacked out of it, the MC SAS kit is about 3/4 installed, 22r with weber 38, 35x12.50 BFG M/T's, home made flat bed, 5.29's and Detroit's in both ends,
When I moved from Okinawa Japan I had to leave behind (part out)my 84 HiLux Surf I loved that truck but the engine was crap (3Y-J) 36x13.50 TSL's, 5.71's and Detroit's on both ends, and best of all it was right hand drive, thats a trip to drive!!

That's what I've heard.
My bother-n-law spent 3 years in the armory there and got transfered back to SD and now he really misses Oki.

:welcome: to the board, do you happen to have any pics of that truck you had in Oki? Would be cool to see any even poser shots of it.

here my old 84 HiLux Surf that I had when I was stationed in Okinawa Japan, It was a beast,7 inch lift, 5.71's, Detroit/spool, shower curtain back window, rust holes the size of my head, a horrible little 3Y-J motor, but it was right hand drive and that made wheeling take on a new angle, I never understood why the Surf's (4 runners) didn't have the roll bar like the American version had?
