My new bumper

So I made this in a few hours, didn't mess up once.  I didn't have a jig setup, so when I started tack welding it together, a few of the uprights pulled the horizontal bars so they aren't perfectly parallel.  I tig welded all the tubing together, and mig welded all the brackets for mounting it to the frame.  I was able to use the stock bumper mounts, slightly modified.  I made new ends for where it actually mounted to the bumper.  I used spray on bed liner to paint it.


If anyone wants one, I'll make 'em and sell 'em for $150.

Still it is a nice bumper though :psss: we still want it to be presented properly. :wink2:

Clean work, but i think its a little rough on the departure angle, just my  :twocents:  though.  :beerchug:

is that schedule 40 pipe or schedul 80 pipe?  no question that it's pipe.  you used a hobart mig to weld that didn't you?

1.5" OD chromoley, I forget what the thickness was, wasn't thick at all.

Yeah, I used an old school Hobart to mig it, Miller to tig it.

i would be worried about catching the corners on something. we have really tight trails up here though.

i prefer to keep my bumpers a little shorter.

who makes the roll pan your using underneath? , does it bolt on using the stock bumper brackets?

ATM i have no bumper    just a class 3 hitch.  I love to have a malin bumper  but i need the class3 for my trailer.
I was thinking of making a bumper/swing out  for a tire,can,hi-jack.

Hay has anyone done any swing outs  for a yota ???
