Take some marvel mystery oil and put about 1 table spoon into the sparkplug hole of each cylinder, add some engine oil, and crank it

What he said, I was thinking WD-40 but Marvel sounds better, or you could just turn it upside down for a while and let the oil run up to the top. :gap: Change the oil before you fire it up and pour some Marvel Mystery oil in there too, that way you'll get a little lubrication on the top-end and bottom-end running around it.

the last time i had a engine that had sat that long, i drianed and inspected the oil,  then refilled with atf :yesnod:  almost 3 gallons :yikes:  then let it sit over night then drained 1 1/2 gallon then after pulling dist wire  turned it over with the starter till oil light went out, drained  then filled with 5w30 , started the truck and let it run for about 10 minutes, then changed the oil and filter with some 10w40 and never looked back,   of course this was on a 76 ford courier, and i was 16 and didnt know what marvel mystery oil was :dunno:

Bigmike's idea is probably the cheapest nowadays,   but i would let the oil sit over night in the cylinders,  to make sure the rings are free

wow  your lucky,  1st generation toys are the best

a big suringe from a vet supply or feed store works better than a tables spoon
