i disconnected the lspv and zip tied it as high as i could get. i eventually removed the lspv with good results.

How old are the shoes?

I had a locking problem on my 4 wheel drum 64 valiant until the shoes finally wore in enough to match the curvation of the drum.

Yeah, no axle seal leaks but I do think I need to see if the hardware is installed correctly after these weird symptoms.
