I was lucky enough to get to drive the first 2.7 test truck in the US with the original blower from Alpine...really nice power band...quick, fun...HAPPY.  Wished it was on my truck at the time.   :yesnod:
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

There are a couple of ways to build up that 4 banger. LC Engineering has everything you need to re-build the motor and get they're high flow cat .Get a header and a cat back exhaust. The best thing IMO is to get rid of the clutch fan and get a e-fan. This should be enough to get you started. good luck on your build.

If you really want something extra out of that 2.7 take the block to a machine shop and have them deck the block by .20 and take the head and have them deck by .10 and port it. DO NOT bore the cylinders it's a waste of time. For what you gain apposed to the loss of durability isn't worth it for a 5% of 150 HP gain. Get a stage 2 cam, headder and a highflow cat and a e-fan(like previously stated) I myself don't believe in using SC's or turbos I preffer durability and I can still use reg gas. BUT if it's a trailer queen by all means SC that bad boy
