I'm thinking that it would be a great idea to start posts for each state that list the good off roading areas. We might even try to rate the trails against each other for comparison. Since I live in Washington State, this is where my immediate interst lies, I grew up in Colorado so I can also provide input if someone starts another thread.

(1) Tahuya ORV Park
(2) Evan's Creek ORV Park
(3) Reider Pit
(4) Nanchese Pass
(5) Moon Rocks

Note: I have not been to all of the places myself.

Moon rocks/funny rocks are really part of a larger area with a ton of trails. Some call it the Naches or Manashtash area. It includes Buck Meadows, Quartz mountain area.
There is the Liberty area, Walker Valley, Salmon La Sac & other areas I am forgetting right now.

Between Naches and Rimrock there are no other awesome trails in the PNW. Granted I havent been to the Reiter pit but from the sounds of it its just another tsf. Fun and can be extremely challenging but boring after a relatively short period of time.

Well if you want to include snow wheeling there is Tiger Canyon over in the Walla Walla area, its only fun in the winter.

When I was in WW there was some fun wheeling (for mostly stock trucks) up Pike Peak, but they destroyed the road because it was on private property.

Tell me about it, I lived on the road to pikes, I was up there litterally 1 to 2 times a week. The ditch right before the gate is where I like to go crawl sometimes (hope I don't get caught). Its not even worth going up there anymore. It was the best trail in WW. If you knew where to go you had to have some mods on your truck to get through.

BTW it's reiter pit.
and it does get boring if you stay in the parking lot like everyone else, but there are trails that can take several hours of skilled driving to get through.

alright lets get something goin i like 81rockertoy's idea!!! oh anyone around the seattle area have any extra inner axles and birfields foir the short side?? i got a housing that was taco'd and i need the inner axle and stuff for the short side so i can maybe get this thing up and running with my sas by mondya and take it out and see how it does.

dont forget about Mount Baker, there are some awesome trails off of the road going up from 20 on the south side. There's also a trail just south of Concrete(forget the name of the trail right now) but if you run it right you can get all the way to Lake Wenatchee.

also for those of us in the southwest wa area I have been to Browns camp in Oregon. I know what you all are saying that is Oregon but is is really easy to get to form just about anywhere in sw wa. There are rumors of trails that lead all the way out to the coast in Tillammok. I am from Oregon originally and just moved to Washington just five years ago.

I'm a govenment employee so we get more holidays than most, it is Columbus day, I think. As it turns out I will be helping someone paint their house, I will also be checking out the 81 Toyota with 36 inch tires that was part of the deal. I hear that the rear end is over at Randy's getting fixed up.
