very newb questions about the highsteer

Ok, so I just got my first rig EVER and it happens to be an '82 22r. Out of all the stuff I have to do to it, the HighSteer probably confuses me the most. Been checking out the kit here, but I want to make sure I get everything I need. From my limited knowledge, I know I need the HighSteer Kit, a used IFS steering box, the IFS mount kit, and a minimum lift of 3-4"

Am I missing anything?! Do I need any new tie rods or stabilizers? I really don't want to flop this thing going down my driveway! :D

A well set up system shouldn't need a steering stabilizer, but they can make highway driving a little more comfy.  No it won't come with your kit.  As for the rest, it is all there, you just add the steering box.  Kit comes with pitman arm, steering arms, tie rod, drag link, four tie rod ends, all the hardware...
For the steering box brace...I would suggest doing your own instead of the kit.  Most people find that, even if they use the kit with the frame sleeves they still need to plate the frame.  The loads from the steering box really need to be well distributed over the frame.

The amount of lift really is determined by where you mount the steering box.  You can cut into the core support and really mount the box clocked as far forward as possible.  You can also get a flat pitman arm from www.skymanufacturing.com .  These will allow you to run a bit less lift, but will cost some more time and more money for that arm.  It ic billet Cromoly.  Nice thing about the Toy IFS box...your steering shaft will boilt right up, all the fittings and lines from the old box will also bolt right into the OFS box.

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

hey when hookin up the ifs box.... does the stock tubes screw right in? for the power steerin?
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

Yes, the power steering lines go right into the new box.
