Put a jack under the transfer case or tranny and un bolt the transfer case crossmember. Let the tcase drop a few inches to gain some clearance. Use a 36" long 1/2" drive extension with a 17mm socket/ujoint on the end. If you've got an impact wrench that'll take it right out. Without an impact, you'll need a buddy to help you steady the extension and you'll have to tug on a breaker bar. A grunt and a fart later it should be out. What year is your rig? Is your auto trans electronically controlled, or older than that?Ryan
you could cut a little hoel in your floor to get to it. had a buddy that did it and if you're carefull when you're done you can just bend it back down (there will still be the cut but you can bend the floor back down) and put the carpet back over it and call it good.
