Well dont you watch the show "Xtreme 4x4"? They say all hardcore wheelers need pink wheels! Nice rig man. And dont get me started on that damn Xtreme 4x4 show, they suck. Who would have thought CJ could have stood for "cheap jeep"? WOW! :dunno:

Wait a minute.... I haven't even got out on the trail yet and someones biting my fairy pink wheels???? I'm pissed. I painted the wheels pink to just give the rednecks here something to be embarrassed by when a truck with pink wheels went up a hill they're Z71 couldn't :rofl2:

Hey I dig it!  Just cause I wouldn't doesn't mean it isn't cool on someone else's.  Right on man keep up the good work.  Its looking mighty fine.

That is excellent. I would love to have a gander at this rig in person sometime if you are up for meeting me one day. I live in Trussville, AL. It is about twenty minutes away from Birmingham. Hell, I will drive the Tonka to Alabaster to check that thing out. I am quite the photographer as well, so I would be more than happy to take some more photographs. Are you talking about the "Fall for All" at Gray Rock? I will be there as well although the Tonka will not be wheeled. I am entirely interested in learning more about the four-link setup. Give me a call: 919-3290. Kudos on the Yoat!

The trucks at the shop in Summiton (down 78 toward Jasper) We'll be there all weekend if you wanna come by call me and I'll give you directions. One condition, you have to drive that Yota so I can drool on it. I love those trucks!
I'm trying my best to get it ready for Fall for All. I'm currently waiting on parts right now and trying to convence Paul (Pdaddy) to help me shag ass on some work at the shop so we can work on it a bit. If I can get it ready for Fall for All that would be Grrreat!

Thanks for the props on the truck too!

I will definitely have to comply with your requests to see your truck. I am planning on buying an '80 model and doing a four-link on it. I am going to need some specs! I like your setup, so hopefully when we meet you can help me with some of those things. I will give you a call towards the end of the week. I believe I have to work Saturday and Sunday, but I might get the "one day flu" sometime this weekend. I am anticipating the illness Saturday, so I will see if I can get the Tonka over to Summiton Saturday. lol. Anywho, I will definitely be giving you a call to get a little know-how on the four-link setup. Talk to ya' then!
Thanks,
Pete

18" Fox 2.0 nitros. I have a couple of brand new Sway A Way 18"ers I need to sell. They were just used to set up the suspension on this then I switched to Fox's (because the matched my front Fox shocks... I know, I'm gay like that...) :shake:

Pdaddy

Fall for all is way down the road... I dont know if the body work and nit pick stuff will be done, but that thing will damn sure be wheelable as soon as you get the rest of your Steering parts and such.  You know I want it in the woods as bad as you do man!!   :king:

Those wheels and tires have seen plenty of trails Jro...what chu talkin about  :_oops:    :shhh:

It takes alot to break a 3/4 heim, I've seen alot of foul acting riding go down on 3/4's... I doubt a 6 cyl will hurt those things. I'm not a fan of the over building, I like to stick to what I know. Now whenever I get started on the a RamJet tube chassis It might get the 1 1/4's :disturbed:

I'll take 400 for the SAW's shipped to your door. Got 2 18"ers

BTW, BIGTONKA stoped by the shop this weekend, that is one sexy truck  It needs a little Trailwerx treatment in the rear! :flamer:   I was real impressed on how clean of a truck that was!

Ive said it on other boards and I will say it here, That is one of the sickest runnahs I have ever seen.  Damn Paul,  I wish you lived closer, I would bring my piece of crap down there and Trailwerxerize it!!         I am SOOOOOO ready to link up my junk but dont have any caysh and I dont know if I want to waste the time building up the rig with Yota axles.      :(

I'm hoping to make it look a whole lot better once those rear fender/ skins are done. I'm gonna try to have them molded into the body where it's cut then have the whole truck painted. Those rear aborted fenders just bother me a lot! It's almost embarrassing...  :_oops:

You need to bring the Kansas possie down here and go riding with us, I've seen lots of video that looks like good times! :talkingn:

FatAzzRunner

Yeah, I would really like to get out there, just time away from work is impossible this year.  I have been working 5 and 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

Keep up the work and keep postin pics as you progress.

The 18" Fox run 550 for the set from PolyPerformance call and talk to Dave or Ryan. As for the safety issue.. I guess technically it might not be good if you blew a seal going down the road but then again full hydro steer and beadlock wheels aren't considered safe for road use either but you'll find this truck driving it to the trail :yesnod:

I don't really see a seal failure being all that drastic. Worst that can happen is that it would bleed down and sit on the bump stop.

Thanks Jason. I will be visiting you guys in the near future. I still need to reinforce those bumpstops a little. You guys did an excellent job on the "chicken leg" shock placement (Kudos Paul!). It looks wicked. Thanks for the comments on the Tonka. I shall see you soon....
