good luck with the swap!! If you can get your hands on a plasma cutter it will make the swap a lot easier.

speaking of plasma cutter...do any rental places rent those out? Like united rentals or all star rentals? When I do my SAS id like it to go as smoothly as possible and sounds like the plasma will help with that

i know u can rent anything from welders to sandblasters in our local area, it shouldnt be a problem finding a rental place, Renting a plasma cutter would be a wise investment for the SAS

gotrocks

i won't do it any other way than a plasma, so much cleaner and faster

Or you can become an Ironworker and get really good with a torch..............it only took me year or so to get good hahahhaa

TrackVino

I used a torch. It worked really good. Didnt have to do that much grinding.

crawlerdan

ive used a torch twice, and a plasma thirty somethin times, plasma leaves less cleaup, and is less dangerous around brake/fuel lines :flamer:  :yikes:

Hyena

Plasma is way better.  I used a torche to cut all my stock spring mounts off when i went with a drop crossmember.  Took awhile and then i had to grind every bit of it to make it clean.  Plasma will leave it pretty clean by itself.

trailhunter

yeah a plasma is much much nicer to work with..............its just alittle hard to get your hands on.

ill take what i can get when i get the parts im use to doing thing the hard way
