I think they have a kit out now that runs on both propane and gas?i may be wrong but ill double check the website.I might do this instead of converting to fuel injection,less wiring to deal with.

Carbureted 22r dual fuel kit.
 
After much request we are proud to announce our dual fuel kit for the 22r toyota motor. This is for carbureted versions only. It can switch between propane and gasoline at the flick of a switch. It installs and tunes very easily and does not interfere with existing vacuum/emissions equipment. There is very little modification done to the vehicle with this kit.

I run the the gotpropane set up and haven't had any issues. I have been running it for a couple years and I love it. I thing it is far better than fuel injection and it's very simple. I would recommend this to anyone building a carb truck. I didn't have to do any engine mods. My truck has a hybrid 20/22r in it, it has stock 22r valves in the 20r head, no problems and I have ran it alot and hard.

Hey i was wandering when you convert over to propane do you have to change exhaust? And if not does it make your exhaust sound any different?

I will go threw four bottles in a day on snow runs.

It runs hotter and you will be burning up spark plug wires.

if you smell propane your to rich .you have to have your nose on my pipe to smell mine. i lost a little power when i went propane but i didnt adjust timing or anything. i love it but when you roll you have to kill it it will not die will run upsidedown. i used to run boat gas tanks and a ride that would take 5 gallons of gas i burn about the same amount of propane . maybe a little more it will not die so i play more

I have been running my propane set up for a couple of years. I have no issues still to this date. It is supper easy to get your air fuel correct and I have not had any of the issues that other people have mentioned. I have not went thru plug wires and I honestly think that I get better mileage on propane. I strongly recommend this set up. I'm thinkig about installing an accumulator to keep my oil pressure up when I'm at crazy angles.

i wanna run propane but limited on funds. how much for conversion??? i got a 22r w/ 20r head
