Is this engine a 2 bolt main or 4 bolt main?

It is in a FJ40 I am looking at with only two motor mounts. Even better, one is missing the bolt!!   :dunno:

Also, its missing the bottom half of the bellhousing on a turbo 400 trans. How much is this gonna run?

Thanks guys!

Wish me luck on my new rig!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the engine but the missing bell housing inspection cover is just a stamped steel cover. Should be easy and cheap to pick one up at a junkyard.

............and good luck on your project.

If it's a true 4 wheel drive th400 then the inspection cover is not just a stamped steel piece. The tranny will have threaded holes for bolts and the cover is cast aluminum with threaded holes for support rods that run to the engine mounts. There getting hard to find and you'll probably pay a pretty penny for it too.

If it is a 1991 it is a L98 motor with alum heads (vette). If it's a 1992 then it's a LT1. Both motors 4 bolt mains. Either motor is nice............ Dean

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
