Start with a 84 or 85 front axle Has longer gusset Add Marlins top gusset High pinion E Locker ( Requires Housing Mods ) Crome moly Axles Chrome moly Birfields or Bellfields Landcruiser Brakes & calipers from IFS Toy Marlin hysteer and you are on your way
i'm gonna back what rockdiver said. he's got a good line up.don't forget about the 1.5" wheel spacers so the front and rear are even wiidths. i live in co too. lets meet up sometime for a trail run
If you want strength go 60, if you want lite, go with what rockdiver said, especially if this is a DD, go with toy parts.
Where do you live?
aren't the Chromo axles stronger then D60s?
Thanks for all the info. Well I have a dana 60 front on my blazer with 35 spline outers, 5.86 gears, detroit locker, hydro assist, 1350 yoke.Rear dana 70, 5.86 gears welded, disc brakes, 1350 yoke. So I might put these under my 90 pu with the 4 banger and see how they feel as far as weight, and if I don`t like them, then I will sell them.My blazer and toy truck, http://www.imagestation.com/mypictures/index.html
UUmmm, i would do that since you have them already.
You have an almost bulletproof set of axles sitting at your house. I would use them.
Well, if you're going to go Dana 60, then get the new Longfields!Dana 60 Birfieldhttp://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=378753
