How many miles do you have on your junk? My truck has either 167,000 or 267,000 can't tell but it feels more like 267,000. My 1994 4runner has 145,000 and my mom's 1998 4runner has about 120,000 miles? I have heard up to about 400,000 miles reported in the past, hopefully someone will beat it :crossed:

Odometer on mine stopped at 110830.6 Finally got a new one and put it back at 10308.6 (mines an 81 so its only 5 digit) and when i bought it the owner thought he put about 100K  and now it reads 16700.8 or so. So its about 216K I think.

My uncles 90 2wd 3.0 V6 has 299,750. Nothing has gone wrong on it...Yet. Actually the clutch fan assemble blew up and shredded all the belts but that got fixed.

I know there's bout 173K on the transplanted engine...which has been in for a while, body and chassis, somewhere shy of 300K I would guess.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike
