Teaching Math In 1990

A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and
inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the
preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20.
What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class
participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels
feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers.)

The part left out is that he bought 1/2 gram of uncut meth with that $20, cut it and then sold it to the 6th graders for a net profit of $200.

In the process, he burned his hand, and filed a work comp claim that has him permanently disabled because he can no longer hold a beer while he's driving. His cash settlement was $10,577.49

The question is: Was this a good investment?

I have lots of respect for the hard woring Mexicans that come up here and do the :pokinit: hole work we won't do.  On the other hand, I've had a few of these MFers come into my ship in Othello (read Little Mexico) and ask why I don't have an interpreter.  I tell them this is the United States and they always start speaking English in a hurry.  Makes my trigger finger itchy at times.   :twocents:

Didn't they outlaw teaching in spanish to non-english speaking students in the 90's? Funny shiat though swap the greenie pargraph with the spanish paragraph and I think it's a winner.
